Gina Karp, M.Ed, M.A.

English Academic Advisor

Gina came to UNC Charlotte in 2016 as an academic advisor in the College of Computing and Informatics. Previously, she has worked at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Appalachian State University. Gina has a B.S. in Business Administration, a B.F.A. in Creative Writing with a minor in English, an M.Ed. in Higher Education, and an M.A. in English with a concentration in Children’s Literature. As an academic advisor, she strives to equip students with the information and resources they need to make the best decision for their unique situations in order to maximize their college experience.

Gina grew up in Hickory, NC, and has a strong affinity for all things Halloween. She enjoys reading a variety of fiction genres, binge-watching TV shows, traveling, spending time with friends, family, and her furbabies Charles Atticus (Maltese) and Tig (Orange Tabby).
