New Book edited by Mark West

Congratulations to Mark West for his latest book, Shapers of American Childhood: Essays on Visionaries from L. Frank Baum to Dr. Spock to J.K. Rowling (McFarland & Co, 2018),co-edited with Kathy Merlock Jackson of Virginia Wesleyan University Mark co-edited the book as well as co-wrote the Preface, and his own chapter, “LeVar Burton (1957-): Promoting Children’s Literature and Literacy,” is joined in the collection by two chapters by our own Sarah Minslow (“A.A. Milne (1882-1956): Influencing American Childhood After World War II”) and Dina Schiff Massachi (“L.Frank Baum (1856-1919): Brains, Heart, and Courage”).
